James Emmerman is a New York-based photographer.
His work celebrates and explores contemporary gender, representation, community, style, persona, and humor. His images have appeared in publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, i-D, Paper, W, Document Journal, Interview, Pitchfork, Wonderland, and more. His work has been shown nationally and internationally, most recently at the Anti Art Fair and at the Soho House London. In 2018 he was named a PDN Emerging photographer and was profiled by Milk Studios as an artist to watch. In 2019 his work was auctioned at the 16th annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares event.

AIDS/Life Cycle is a 545 mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, with the mission of raising money for services and prevention associated with hiv and AIDS, as well as combatting stigma.  2020 will be my second year participating in the ride.
